WAXTRACKS are visual representations of a remix. Each piece is made from actual vinyl 45’s that are cracked, split, rearranged and looped into something new, just like an audio remix. It’s making music that you literally can see. A Waxtrack is also an homage to early DJ culture when you would gather around the radio to hear the latest greatest freshest mixes and you felt that life could not get any better.
Before the records are broken, an audio mix tape is made from the diverse 45’s selected for the piece so that you can both listen to the art and look at it at the same time. Snaps, Crackles, and Pops included.
