ABOUT JOEY

joey-garfield-secret-service.jpg

Joey Garfield caught the film bug as a young teen when he went to an open audition for a film entitled Ferris Bueller's Day Off and got the part! It was a small role but one that would ultimately alter the trajectory of his life. Being on a film set exposed him to many things that inspired him. There were bright lights, speedy dolly track, cool cameras, long lenses, actors performing, directors directing, cool sets, walkie-talkies and snacks.

Most importantly it was witnessing first hand that multiple moving parts could work in unison to communicate a singular idea, vision, or story. Being a visual communicator this was extremely eye opening.

Today, Joey is an award winning filmmaker, director, photographer, and creator. His approach to any project from narrative to short form, music video to new media is to tell the strongest story in the most visually compelling, creative way that is both entertaining and lasting.

Joey is also a founding member of The Barnstormer’s artist collective and was a Bert Fershner. He loves pinball.
